Update #34 – June 2012

The final weeks of Cor Deo seem to just slip away.  After a great week in Hungary at the European Leadership Forum, the team has really enjoyed the final weeks together.  During these last weeks we enjoyed studies in Ephesians, Jonathan Edwards, pastoral counselling, and so much more.  This week was our last together.  We had a wonderful final meal on Wednesday, when the whole team including wives could be together to put closure on the year.  Here are some reflections from Jonathan:

“The Cor Deo full time program has been a life changing experience for me! A year and a half ago I would have never imagined that I would ever actually get to participate in something like this. I always wondered about Bible College, however it just seemed too far from my grasp. However Cor Deo has met all my expectations and more, the lessons I have learned throughout the past twenty weeks will go with me into every situation I face for the rest of my life.”

Please pray for the men as they head back into normal life.  This week Andy’s church has a week of outreach in central Bristol and Andy is heavily involved.  Jonathan is back to work tomorrow, as are Jon and Rob.  As Ron and I have reflected on 2012, we have been filled with gratitude for the team God brought together and the blessing it has been to be in this together.  Now we are actively seeking team 2013.  As ever, if you know someone who might be a fit, please nudge them our way.

Tomorrow both Ron and I are heading over to the States.  Our paths will converge next month for the Intensive in Portland, OR.  Please pray for the people coming to the Intensive.

For the team,

Peter
