Even though it’s not technically spring here in the UK yet, at Cor Deo we’re big fans! Besides the increased warmth and sunlight, spring is the season of new life and hope. As we see daffodils and blue skies we can’t help but praise our good God for the life and light we have in His Son Jesus.
Spring also means that the Full Time Program is nearing the halfway point. It’s fair to say that the nine of us are really enjoying being together each week. As a group we are growing each day as we see our God’s heart. We’ve recently studied John 12 and 13 and were struck by the ‘upside-down-ness’ of Jesus’ Kingdom – it is a Kingdom of love and self-giving and even death!
Our new venue feels more and more like home, none more so than a few weeks ago when we had a Cor Deo Reunion. Twenty Full Time graduates, partners and kids crammed into 1D (our name for the Cor Deo home!) as we took time together to reconnect, pray and study John 4.
Intensives
We have a number of Intensives planned for 2014 – our next one in a couple of weeks still has a few spaces. We’d love for you to consider joining us.
Here are the details:
24th-28th of March – join our full-time team for a week on “Church & Trinity” which includes a heart-warming study of Ephesians, theological history and probing the relevance of it all for today. Our Intensives start with lunch on Monday and end with lunch on Friday. We can help with local accommodation or B&B suggestions.
11th-15th of August – we are guarding spaces for teachers and students who haven’t been able to attend in the past, but if you are interested, there are plenty of spaces for others too. This will be the standard “Relational Faith” Intensive, with Ron, Peter and David leading.
8th-12th of September – this will be a “level 2” Intensive moving beyond the ground covered in our “Relational Faith” course. If you have attended an Intensive or a mini-Intensive before, come and join us for this next step.
If you would like to reserve your place, or if you have any questions, please email us.
Please do keep praying for the Full-Timers and the Mentors. Ron will soon be heading back to the States for a few weeks – pray for his time at home that it would be fruitful for him and those he connects with.
Thank you again for all your support and partnership with us. We really appreciate it and would love to see you soon!
