I previously mentioned some friends who have been faced with some devastating health news, and I will be passing this post on to them as well. In my current Bible read-through, I’ve been following the thread of the connection between God’s glory and His goodness. I started along this path back in Exodus 33, where Moses asks to see God’s glory, and God responds, “I will make my goodness to pass in front of you.” I was in Isaiah last week, and saw the connection in Isaiah 40, too, where God talks about His glory being revealed in Christ (such goodness!) and then how He says that He’ll carry His lambs with His arms and hold them close to His heart. Now, reading your post, I was struck by the similar contrast of greatness/graciousness and glory/goodness. God is great, glorious, and powerful, but overarching all of that is His love.
