Book Intro: Experiencing the Trinity

At Cor Deo we are excited about good books! One book we appreciate is Experiencing the Trinity by Darrell Johnson. To encourage folks to read this, we are giving away three copies. I will explain the give-away at the end of this post.

At less than 100 pages, this little book does not take long to read, but its implications might take a lifetime to work out. With contagious energy, Johnson takes the doctrine of the Trinity out of the realm of confusing mystery and warmly invites the reader to engage with the wonder of this core biblical truth.

“At the center of the universe is a relationship. That is the most fundamental truth I know. It is out of that relationship that you and I were created and redeemed. And it is for that relationship that you and I were created and redeemed.”

Johnson doesn’t just seek to make clear this difficult doctrine. He also invites the reader to join in the fellowship of the Trinity, to become co-lovers of God. This quick read is well worth a couple of hours of reading, followed by a good long pondering of the implications!

We would love to encourage you to read this book along with us. So we are giving away three copies at the end of November. In order to be entered in the draw, all we ask is two favours:

1. Please write a comment on any of the posts appearing on the blog this month.
2. Share the URL link to this post on facebook, or twitter, or in an email to a few friends who might be interested.  Here is the URL – http://www.cordeo.org.uk/book-intro-experiencing-the-trinity/

If you are randomly selected to receive a book, we’ll get in touch for your address!

Good to hear they’re recommending it! Perhaps you’ll get a copy for a Christmas present, Dave. Thanks for the kind words on your blog this week. Hope to see you before too long, Peter.

Thanks for sharing this. I hope to win a copy, because I’m not good at explaining the Trinity, and I would like my 18-year-old daughter to understand the concept.

Sounds like a good one. I think I’ll have to do another advertisement for Cor Deo at my blog, Peter. Say hi to Ron for me as well. Tell him when he gets back to the States I’ll be taking him up on that offer to meet at Tulleys ;-).
