Special Event

Saturday February 13th 10am – 12pm: ‘Parenting’

As parents, we have many hopes and prayers for our children.  We desire that they know and love the Lord.  We want them to be kind, compassionate, and responsible.  We hope they are able to navigate relationships in a healthy way.   We want them to have practical skills like being able to work diligently, manage their money, clean up after themselves, or do laundry.  And the list goes on.  Join us for a Cor Deo seminar on parenting. During our time together, we will consider the following:

  • Building our parenting on a biblical foundation
  • Praying for our children using Scripture
  • How to parent each child based on their individual needs and stage of development
  • Teaching our children relational skills, including kindness, compassion, and conflict management
  • Maintaining a strong relationship with our children, even during the tumultuous years of adolescence
  • How to begin in toddlerhood to prepare our children for adult life
  • Practical tools to help us be purposeful parents

One-Week Intensives

Join the mentors for a five day exposure to Cor Deo training.  Starting on Monday, and ending mid-Friday, we will have five days of intensive study and fellowship together.  This opportunity is ideal for those who would like to get a taste of Cor Deo’s ministry, but can’t join the full-time team. Together we will enjoy hearing God’s heart in His Word, engaging in enlightening study of church history, considering the applicational aspects of serving others in a relational faith, and thinking about spiritual formation if Christianity is centred on relationship with God.
